  It all starts in 2006, when Julien, his wife Cinthia and their daughter arrive for the first time in the Nothern Sulawesi Island, over the small Celeb sea. Without running water or electricity and away from western civilization during an entire year, this lifetime and unforgettable experience will become a trip without return. Since then, they have been living in Bali where Julien, a PADI instructor and underwater lover was looking for a job in his field.A once in a lifetime opportunity will be offered to him, and he will take it.

  He meets Etienne, a Belgium guy who has been living in Indonesia and traveling throughout the islands for the last 30 years . He is one of the greatest explorator in the East of Indonesia and the owner of the famous “Cahaya Mandiri”. Employed by Etienne to guide the expedtion during the last 4 years, Julien will also have the opportunity to guide the “Between land and sea” expedtions of a famous french touring operator. During that time, he acquired a tremendous experience and knowledge often envied.

  In 2009, he greets a very special group of tourists. There are 4 and they all have different lifestyle, altough they all have one common point: adventure.
  Without knowing each other and without knowing it they all decided to go to the same destination, the same quest, the same dream.... the Sonde Island for 17 days, which will change their life.
  
  17 days of discoveries, 17 days of true moments, expeditions, laughs, and unforgetable lifetime experiences. Day after day a frendship builds up, and a dream shapes up.

  World travelers, the four of them had for motto “not to travel twice to the same place”. That expedition in the “Sonde islands” will break that cycle and motto, and every year since then, they all meet to together with Julien on board the “Cahaya Mandiri” to discover the most remote places, and to set sail in more adventurest expedtions.
  
  After 20 years for exploration, Etienne decided to retire and to sell the “Cahaya Mandiri”. The 4 world travelers: Didier, Céline, Catherine and Jocelyne decide to buy the boat.
  
  The dream becomes a reality and gives birth to: SeaQuest Adventure. A new and grand adventure starts for the entire team.....to take you and guide you to conquer your dreams.

  • 4 double cabines to accomodate a couple and a child or two adults. (1 double bed, 1 single bed / air conditioning / 220 volts european type electric outlet).
  • Large main deck, where are served the meals on a big table protected by a detachable roof.
  • Large upper deck, comfortable and pleasant living space with a small ‘lounge ‘ for relaxation, mattresses for sunbathing and starry nights, hammock to be rocked to the rythm of your holidays.
  • Friendly square covered in the back of the boat where you can find card games, a small library, and other games.
  • 2 WC / showers situated on each side of the main deck.
  • Fully equiped kitchen (fridge, refrigerator ...) in the back of the boat.
  • Bedlinen, pillows and beach towels are provided.

  Our colorful 'cuisine' is orchestrated by our Indonesian chef. He takes great pleasure to awaken your taste buds with a kitchen filled with thousands of flavours. Each meal is a delicious mix of occidental and indonesian tastes. Varied and hearty meals (5 dishes) insisting on the ocean’s products, fresh local products, fruits and juices.

  The bar will offer you some local wine (white or rosé), which will surprise you, and a good cold local beer at a reasonable price. Coffee, tea, water bottles and sodas are at your disposal 24 hours a day without supplement.

  
  

  Snorkeling equipment (masks, tuba, fins and shorties) off all sizes are at your disposal.

  
  

  Are at your disposal as well: 4 full diving equipments, fishing gear, and 4 traditionnal spear fishing guns for the spear fishing expeditions (weights and belts are also at your disposal).

  For the fans of reading, the ‘Cahaya Mandiri’ has a small library constituated throughout its journeys.

  The 'Cahaya Mandiri' and its operations are run by a wonderful Indonesian crew of 5 -a captain, an engineer, a cook and 2 sailors- and our company Director Julien Roche (trilingual: French, English and Indonesian) who have lead adventures in these waters for many years.

  
  

  With many years of experience with organizing and implementing adventure cruises in this part of the world, they are great professionals, attentive and safety conscious. And they remain as enthusiastic as if they were on their first trips.
